A firm believer in the power of community and giving back, Vietnamese Canadian Business Association (VCBA) has raised $10,000 towards Richmond Hospital Foundation’s POWER UP Campaign through its 2025 Open Golf Tournament this past summer.

“The Yurkovich Family Pavilion is an essential project for Richmond health care,” says Ken Chau, president of VCBA. “The new acute care tower will transform health care in Richmond by providing leading-edge advancements that enhance patient care, improve outcomes, and support the dedicated medical team. Health care is a universal need that everyone—regardless of background and customs—deserves to have access to. By uniting in this cause, we can help expand access and create a healthier future for more people in the community.”

Founded in 2022, the Vietnamese Canadian Business Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting business communities in Vietnam and Canada. By organizing events that bring together industry leaders and government representatives from the two countries, VCBA aims to serve as a platform for cultivating long-lasting partnerships. At their recent charity golf tournament and gala dinner, VCBA united local and international enterprises to donate towards health care in Richmond, elevating professional exchange into acts of collective generosity.

“We are so grateful to have the Vietnamese Canadian Business Association as a philanthropic partner,” says Natalie Meixner, president & chief executive officer of Richmond Hospital Foundation. “Their community spirit and collective generosity will help drive innovation and ensure the best care is available for everyone who lives, works, and visits Richmond.”

The POWER UP Campaign will help expand access to efficient and patient-centred care through technological efficiencies and advancements in the new Yurkovich Family Pavilion, including the Emergency Department and Operating Rooms.
