Fall may be in the air, but it’s also the perfect time for Storytime in the Park.

Richmond Public Library is introducing its new, in-person outdoor program this Thursday (Sept. 17) at Minoru Park.

“Join us outside for a fun and safe way for families to build early literacy skills, connect with each other, and with library staff,” says library spokesperson Stephanie Vokey. “Participants can look forward to enjoying songs, stories, rhymes and more, all in a beautiful setting.”

But to ensure everyone stays safe, protocols such as physical distancing and capacity limits will be enforced. The use of face masks is also encouraged.

Suitable for babies and young children with their families, the program is incumbent on the weather co-operating.

In addition to Thursday’s scheduled program from 11:30 a.m. to noon, the free Storytime is also planned for Sept. 24 and Oct. 1. Pre-registration is required at https://yourlibrary.bibliocommons.com/events/5f4d783678798a2400ce3a06.
