Hundreds of supporters came together virtually last Saturday to raise more than $270,000 for a local charity.

Held online for the first time to adhere to COVID-19 health and safety protocols, funds raised at the 43rd Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala will support much-needed funds in support of S.U.C.C.E.S.S.’s essential programs for youth, women, families, seniors, and refugees.

“Year after year, I’m overjoyed to see such dedicated support from the community for S.U.C.C.E.S.S. We are thrilled that our Gala was able to move forward virtually so that we could continue this heartfelt community tradition,” said Queenie Choo, CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation. “I extend my sincere gratitude to all our donors, sponsors, volunteers and board members for their generous contributions in making the event such a resounding accomplishment.”

Hundreds of community and business leaders, donors and sponsors attended an evening of virtual celebrations and entertainment including a performance by Lorretta Chow. Special thanks for greetings from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Janet Austin, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, B.C. Premier John Horgan and Richmond Mayor Malcolm Brodie.

“The support shown to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. continues to amaze us,” said S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation chair Brandon Hui. “Many people who share the values of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. came together to support community members who have been significantly impacted by COVID-19.”

“It’s rewarding to contribute to S.U.C.C.E.S.S.’s essential programs,” added Jason Lam and Leon Ng, co-chairs of the 2021 Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Virtual Gala.
